Faerie Hugs - Bee - Two Queensby *thrivis

No comic this week because LOL I honestly don't have enough love for any of the comics i did this last week.

So good thing EMG zine is out. I drew this last month, and it's featured in this month's EMG-zine: [link]

A faerie queen of bees and the queen bee of her hive.

The English queen look wasn't doing it for me like I originally was trying to get. I ended up looking at the queen on playing cards, and Russian icons of the Virgin Mary for inspiration.

Photoshop. I drew this entirely in Photoshop which was... an exercise in patience. I usually do all line art ever in ink.

I like the colors and the style in it (: Especially that bee! And it's also interesting how the woman looks a bit like it, with the similar eyes and wings (:
